speech 3

A warm welcome to all of you in this program, I hope you all have a nice day.

I am Ankit Patel I thank all the people present here I am very fortunate that I have got a chance to deliver a speech on the life of Lal Bahadur Shastri on this occasion today. I hope that through this speech I will be able to explain to you all about the policies and actions of Lal Bahadur Shastri.

Shastri ji was born on 2 October 1904, he became the second Prime Minister of India after Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, along with he was also one of the senior leaders of the Congress party. Shastri ji was one of those supporters of Mahatma Gandhi, who always respected his thoughts and values. He was greatly influenced by Mahatma Gandhi’s courage and non-violence policy, it was Mahatma Gandhi’s influence on him, that he joined the country’s freedom struggle at such a young age.

Since childhood, he had a special attachment towards the independence of the country. Growing up, he had a special passion for history. In which the teachings of Swami Vivekananda were also included, from which he inspired peace, apart from this Mahatma Gandhi and Annie Besant also left a deep impression on his life. He was so impressed with Gandhiji that on Gandhiji’s call to leave the government schools in the non-cooperation movement, he left his studies and joined the non-cooperation movement the very next day. After this he always took part in the freedom struggles and became an important member of the Indian National Congress.

Babushivprasadgupta and Bhagwan Das founded the Kashividyapeeth University in 1921 from where Shastri became a graduate student and after that he regularly took part in freedom struggles. He had to go to jail many times during the freedom struggles of India, but this did not dampen his spirit, this was his biggest strength. Which made him different from others. While in prison, he got a chance to learn about many western revolutionaries and philosophers.

After independence, he became the first Home Minister of the United Provinces (present-day Uttar Pradesh) and he played a significant role in the prevention of communal riots of 1947 and the settlement of refugees, the most important thing of his work was that he did not force any force for this. Did not experiment, which was a direct proof of his leadership ability. After becoming the Prime Minister of India, he said that he would make an India where there would be no compromise with the freedom and happiness of the people. His only goal was to make our country a democratic system with a secular and mixed economy, for which people still remember him for the efforts made.

Apart from his policies, he is known as a person who has a significant contribution in the important decisions taken for the development of India. Shastri ji was the only contributor to the Green Revolution and Milk Revolution that started in the country. He gave the slogan Jai Jawan Jai Kisan to increase agricultural production in the country and stop the exploitation of farmers. He also faced the food crisis and famine situation in the country very well and maintained the self-respect of the country.

Shastri ji is the only person who maintained the peace system within the country even in the event of war. During the Indo-Pak war, he wanted an agreement between the two countries, so that peace could be established between the two countries and the fighting could be stopped and it happened due to his efforts and this is the reason why we should give Shastri ji the history of the country. Considered one of the greatest prime ministers of all time.

So let us all pray together for the peace of a great soul like Shastri ji and wish that this ideal of his is transferred to the coming leaders of our country, so that our country can move forward on the path of rapid progress.

Thank you all for giving your valuable time!

speech 4

Respected Principal, Vice Principal, my colleagues and dear students, all of you are welcome in today’s program.

Being an alumnus of this school and being a journalist in present times, I got this opportunity today from my respected Principal sir that in today’s special program, I will present one of the greatest Prime Ministers of our country and country in front of you all. I can express my views about Lal Bahadur Shastri, who took many important decisions for the development of

You all must be thinking that I will present my side on the discussion related to his death in the media, but it is not so, I have not come here to discuss these misunderstandings, but I use this opportunity to share his huge personality and achievements and a Despite being a politician, I have come to discuss his simple life.

There are many such tales of his simplicity which can be discussed. I will tell you about one of these. This sentence is from when Shastri ji became the Prime Minister of the country, after his becoming the Prime Minister, his family members were asking him to take a car. He told his secretary about this and asked him to find out the price of the Fiat car. The cost of that car was 12000 thousand rupees, but Shastri ji had only 7000 rupees in his bank account.

Due to which instead of taking money from government funds, he applied for a loan of Rs 5000 from Punjab National Bank. Shocked by the fact that it was passed in just two hours, Shastri ji called the loan officer to his office and asked him whether other people’s loans were also cleared so quickly and he advised the officer. That he should tell them about the whole rules of the bank. So from this incident you can guess how humble and honest Shastri ji was.

It was the result of his honest and simple character, which during his reign not only won India in the 1965 Indo-Pak war, but he was also successful in resolving this war by agreement. Due to his intelligence and leadership ability, he also managed to get the country out of many difficult situations. He was always a fan of Jawaharlal Nehru and believed that our country can get rid of poverty and unemployment only by rapid industrialization. He believed that instead of foreign imports, making one’s own country properly self-supporting is a more effective option for progress.

We can say that Shastri ji was one of the thinkers ahead of his time in political and economic matters. He tried to make peace agreements with other countries and improve foreign policy to bring progress and prosperity in the country. It was his actions that made the country move forward on the path of progress.

That was the sad year of 1966, when Lal Bahadur Shastri, the son of Mother India, died after the Tashkent Agreement after the Indo-Pak war. This agreement was so that the wars between the two countries could be stopped, but even after the victory of India, Shastri could not bear the shock of this agreement and he died on 11 January 1966 in Tashkent.

Now I would like to all of you to allow me to end this speech and I hope that this speech of mine has impressed all of you and has made a positive impression on you. So that you get inspiration to move on the path of development and progress.

Thank you all for listening so patiently to this speech of mine!
